Talk 1: Kafka Survival: Poison Pills, Schema Compatibility, Data Contracts
Florent Ramiere (Gateway lead) and Stephane Derosiaux (co-founder and CTO) will cover common issues faced by applications using Apache Kafka and offer solutions to prevent or resolve them.
Talk 2: Varies by city
- Danica Fine (Confluent) presents "A Kafka Producer's Request: Or, There and Back Again". Starting with
producer.send(), she covers what happens behind the hood, key configurations, and how brokers process requests including data storage. - Bill Bejeck (Confluent) presents "Windowing in Kafka Streams and Flink SQL", covering what windowing is in stream processing, the different types available, and guidelines on when to apply each window type.
